Maiko Meguro is a Legal Analyst at the blockchain and innovation unit of the European Commission, DG CONNECT where she works as a lawyer on blockchain, smart contract and other related policies under the framework of the Digital Single Market. She is seconded from Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan where she previously served in international negotiations including EU-Japan EPA (on Trade in Services, Investment and Electric Commerce) and Trans-Pacific Partnership (on Investment and Trade in Service). She is also affiliated with the University of Amsterdam as a research fellow on public international law.

organizations worldwide.Marc joined INATBA in 2020 as the first Executive Director and since then has been
successfully leading the association with over 170+ companies, government officials, policy officers, regulators & legislators.With over 20 years of experience working across the globe in fast-paced, lean
organizations, Marc brings a set of unique skills gained from a career in a mix of
start-ups and industry leaders, building teams and driving growth. Prior to joining
INATBA, Marc spent six years working with one of the original and largest crypto
mining companies, chip manufacturers, and blockchain solutions providers – Bitfury.Marc also works as an independent consultant and advisor to international
technology companies at Bluesphere Solutions.He holds BA with honours in European Business in Finance and Business Studies
from Brunel University London and ESC Clermont Business School respectively. -
Satoru SomeyaManaging Director, Head of CEO’s Office and Head of Global & Alliance Business Department
Mr Satoru Someya is Managing Director, Head of CEO’s Office and Head of Global & Alliance Business Department at TradeWaltz Inc. He started his career at Mitsubishi Corporation in 2010. He has engaged in projects for global trading systems and supported launching a trading subsidiary. He also has experience as a bridge engineer in India and as an investor in digital startups. In recent years, he has been responsible for digital transformation in business industries at the headquarters of Mitsubishi Corporation, and was sent to TradeWaltz Inc as a Managing Director in 2020. With a strong passion in international activities and blockchain, he served as a Discussion Coordinator for the Japan-ASEAN Youth Leaders Summit, a cultural exchange program organized by the Cabinet Office for 5 years, and also served as a lead organizer of the Blockchain 2.0 Meetup Community in 2018.

Yves de Beauregard is in charge of the Global incubation department of Fujitsu Group. In this role he manages the set up and the development of digital solutions globally.
Prior to this role, Yves was leading Fujitsu on the Benelux region. His career started 25 years ago, and includes management & executive positions within CapGemini and Altran groups.
Blockchain Workshop: Current Status of Europe and Role of International Cooperation
INATBA collaborated with the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA) to offer a blockchain workshop for European and Japanese audiences. The workshop featured high-level speakers from the Japanese and European public and private sectors, intended to provide attendees with insights on the current status of blockchain in the regions and how international cooperation will play a role moving forwards.
